Concern is growing over the whereabouts and safety of missing walker Kyle Knox
A young man from London has been reported missing after he did not return to where he was staying in fort William, Scotland, on Tuesday.
Hillwalker Kyle Knox, 23, was last seen at approximately 10am on Monday in Lochaber near where walkers can begin a route of ascension up Ben Nevis.
Mr Knox is described as being 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with dark hair. When he went missing he was wearing dark waterproof trousers, walking boots and a jacket with bits of red on it.
A major search for Mr Knox, who was reported to police as having been possibly sighted on Ben Nevis, got underway on Tuesday involving the RAF and Lochaber Mountain Rescue.
On Wednesday and Thursday the search for the young man was suspended due to weather conditions, with a spokesperson for Police Scotland saying: “Conditions will be continually assessed going forward and it is hoped the search for Mr Knox will resume as soon as it is safe to do so.”
Anyone who suspects they may have sighted Kyle Knox should contact the police immediately on 101.
