Tributes paid to 18-year-old stabbed to death in Wood Green

Isaiah Ekpaloba, 18, was fatally stabbed in Wood Green
Friends have been paying tribute to a teenager who was stabbed death in Wood Green on Friday at around 4.15pm.
Isaiah Ekpaloba, 18, is believed to have got into a dispute with another teenager, Jaydee Dorsett, 19, when a fight broke out and both of the young men were left with stab wounds.
Mr Ekpaloba took himself to hospital but died soon after.
A post-mortem examination was carried out at Haringey Mortuary. The cause of death was found to be shock and haemorrhage and a stab wound to the chest.
Friends of Ekpaloba, an aspiring rapper, have described a joyful character. Among the flowers and cards left in Maryland Road, where the teenager was stabbed, one letter read: "I can’t imagine a world without you, the joy you brought into people’s lives is beyond fathomable.”
“He was so full of life and had a cheeky smile and would give you the tightest hug. He wanted to do good things and show the world he was someone special,” said one of the victim’s friends.
19-year-old Jaydee Dorsett has been charged with Mr Ekpaloba’s murder and appeared at Barkingside magistrates’ court yesterday. He is now being remanded in custody until he appears at the Old Bailey tomorrow.
