Real-Jahzara, 22-months-old, was killed by her father
An image has now been released of toddler Real-Jahzara, who was killed by her own father in a horrific attack earlier this year.
Roland McKoy, 53, who has just begun a life sentence, killed his ex-girlfriend, Valerie Forde, 45, and young daughter after being told to leave their family home when the couple's 18-month-long relationship ended.
Mother and daughter were found dead in their Hackney home. McKoy had hit Forde 17 times in the head with a hammer and attacked her with a machete. He used the machete to slice open his 22-month-old faughter's throat.
On Wednesday at the Old Bailey Judge Charles Wide told McKoy, who will serve a minimum of 35 years in jail: “You did it out of spite and resentment … You thought [Valerie] was going to back down but she didn’t and that was an affront to your monstrous egotism.”
Inquiries into police misconduct are now taking place after it emerged that the police received several reports, from family and neighbours, of threats that McKoy had made to harm the mother-of-four and baby girl.
