About this deal

McNeal is your typical flawed protagonist, the characters lacked depth; but - there is a fair amount of 'action' and the plot moves along at a clipping pace. She steps into the situation and shoots the intruder after we discover she is an ex-police officer, and that the intruder is Homeland Security.

A wealthy and powerful Fowler family member, Will is a charismatic and enigmatic figure who has always had a complicated relationship with Jane. The plot was twisted and had no resolution - obviously a set up for the next book in the series, but there were better ways to do that. It’s not something that I would expect to have happen here in Australia but that doesn’t mean it is not totally in the scope of reality. After another attempt on her life, she once again leaves everything she loves behind to go on the run. Jonah Hex: No Way Back is a 2010 original graphic novel written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray [1] with art by Tony DeZuniga, [2] published by DC Comics, and starring the Western bounty hunter Jonah Hex. The connections that McNeal makes between the disappearances send him on a twisty, dark journey into the lives of the most powerful people in America. Hurt, frightened and confused, she struggles desperately to put right the terrible mistake she made sixteen years ago and finally break free from a past that nearly destroyed her .

The company haven’t made any money for years, mainly because they have nothing to sell – their only product is very much still in development and no-one seems to have thought about how, or to whom, they might sell it anyway. He has even accused Jane of stealing their family piano, not knowing their grandmother gifted her with it. I liked the plot twist with the good guys taking justice into their own hands, but not so keen on the backstory facilitating that.

A masterful thriller that rings true leaving the reader exhausted from the adrenaline rush by its escalating suspense. Instead of being grateful for the facilities she has been given, she focuses on breaking up their ties so that she remains most important to her adoptive father. The expressions on Jack and Anna’s faces, as well as Peter’s, were all those of extreme embarrassment. The novel follows the story of Jane, a talented pianist who has been ostracized by the wealthy Fowler family for years due to false accusations of theft and betrayal.
